@voxday recently got into a spat on Twitter with someone who calls himself Isaac Hebestein, @isaachebestein on over the abominable motion to violate the First Amendment, ostensibly to protect Israel.
However, I'm convinced this @isaachebestein is a sock puppet account:
Added to that, his tweets do not seem to be written by a native English speaker. It's almost as if they're generated by a bot.
Also, HUC-JIR is a big time Leftist outfit, so even if this person exists — which I doubt — he would be the Jewish equivalent of a professor of "Women's studies".
Maybe I'm wrong, and besides, there's certainly no shortage of Jewish leftists and useful idiots, but in this case I think Vox Day has probably been caught up in someone's parody of an execrable Jewish leftist.
However, I'm convinced this @isaachebestein is a sock puppet account:
- The only mention of this character anywhere on the internet is this blog post and its derivatives.
- The account @isaachebestein started in July, i.e. a few weeks ago.
- There is no mention of a Hebestein anywhere in the HUC-JIR (Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion)
- I'm a Jew and I've NEVER heard of the name Hebestein, nor can I find a single person online who bears that name.
